After the hair cut

You have had that well cut hairstyle from your favorite salon..wow! you look "tapper"👌

Now what? Go a step further to care for your scalp to prevent bumps, commonly known as razor burn, dandruff and the likes, care for your hair to maintain the new hairstyle and also to continue looking glamourous.

Here are few of my tested and trusted hair care tips that you can follow after getting a haircut to prevent any skin infection:

Try the glow blasters, they are easily available in the Marketplace and good for the hair. However, your best bet is to try the homemade treatments that are readily available:
  •  a mixture of Aloe Vera and coconut oil can do a lot of magic, apply it 2-3 times daily.
  • Do a warm cold press with a cloth by holding down the wet cloth on the affected area for about 10-15 minutes every instance. The heat and moisture from the compress help to increase blood flow to the affected area and moisten the scalp.
  • Create a baking soda and coconut oil exfoliating scrub. this natural remedy is highly effective to take out dead skin that can block the follicles of your scalp.
  • Use a pre-shave oil to give your hair that clean shave and prevent pulling and tugging of your skin. A pre-shave oil is optional, but using some will add another layer of protection by moisturizing your skin and softening your hair
If however, you develop head bumps after having a hair cut, using a topical hydrocortisone cream can also help heal the bumps and relieve itching and burning.

What homemade methods have you tried? please drop us a comment, we want to hear from you.
