BENEFITS OF GOOGLE TAG MANAGER AS A MARKETING PLATFORM

Hello my Hairzoners,

Today, as part of my introductory series, I decided to look up various marketing platforms that can boost my online visibility as a new blogger and help me analyze the data and activities in my blog for efficiency. I found that Google marketing platform hosts a variety of tools, from the Google Analytics, Surveys, Data Studio, and Optimize to the Tag Manager etc. Google Marketing platform provides an array of free user-friendly tools that can improve businesses of every size and industry but of all, the Google Tag Manager caught my attention. It is an all-in-one package which combines as a marketing, advertising and analytics platform suitable for small and medium scaled enterprises to boost business or online campaigns.

Web Tags are very important to bloggers and online campaigns as they are used to gather data about visitors and users of the site. Through web tags bloggers can understand the behavioral patterns and trends of their visitors and generally make their posts meet the targeted result.

The Google Tag Manager is simple, free to use and easy to set up. It can be classified under two variations based on business size and users’ need:
  1.  Tag Manager: for individuals, small and medium sized business.
  2. Tag Manager 360: It has a more robust feature and is designed for large scale businesses. This type has fees attached.
The Google Tag Manager has so many highlighted benefits and I would love to share some with you:

  •  It works seamlessly with all google tools and third-party tags. It organizes tags, triggers and variables into different groups thereby promoting team and organizational collaboration.
  •  It serves as a search engine optimization tool through its auto complete and instant search features.
  • Website Tags can be published, modified easily and efficiently by only a click of the button helping to streamline marketing results without editing codes.
  • Provides mobile App support through Firebase
  • It works perfectly with other google solutions through integration. . It has already existing simplified third-party vendor tags and codes thereby eliminating errors. With the google Analytics, bloggers can understand their readers and followers better and analyze views and comments to deliver better targeted results.
  • As part of its controls and to make sure things are working as expected, the Tag Manager has different levels of accounts, rights and roles to protect data in your app or site, monitor usage and make for accountability. It restricts or defines the type of access each team member within a workspace or collaboration unit has by keeping tab of what is published in different environments. These user roles and account are listed as:

§  Multi-account support

§  Multi-user support

§  User-level permissions

§  Approvals (Tag Manager 360 only)

§  Zones (Tag Manager 360 only)
